If you are having a lot of fat removed, however, the doctor may choose to do this in a hospital. If so, you will likely stay overnight. If done in the office, you can go home the same day. You will be sore so ask a family member or a friend to come with you. The doctor may choose to do a local which will numb the area where you are having fat removed while you are awake. If you're in a hospital, you will be put under anesthesia, which means you will be asleep during the treatment. 

Liposuction can cause muscle soreness, swelling, and bruising, that may last a few days or even a few weeks. A compression garment is often worn around the area where fat was removed for a couple of months to help with swelling. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics to you to help prevent injection. Rest for a couple of days after this treatment and you should then start feeling better. A full recovery will take a few weeks, however. 

Diet and Exercise

If you do not want to have a medical procedure you can use diet and exercise. This will take much longer, but it will work if done correctly. First, remove all high-fat, high-calorie food from your home. Replace this with healthy fresh vegetables and fruits. There are many diet plans that you can follow that will work well. Talk with a doctor about a plan that would be good for you. 

Along with eating right, you must exercise as well. Join a gym in your area and they have equipment that will help you. For example, gyms generally have exercise bikes, treadmills, and much more. Some have classes, such as aerobic or yoga classes. If you need help, some gyms have personal trainers that you can hire to make your weight loss go even faster.
